JEWELLERY -WORKSHOPS & CLASSES
All classes are designed for the novice crafter and numbers are limited to ensure all students receive personal attention. One to one classes are available on application.
CREATIVE EVENING CLASSES
Join a group of creative people in a relaxed environment. Bring your project with you, work in the comfort of my studio, and fire your silver clay work in my kiln. I am available to give advice where possible. £25 per person – 6.30pm -9.30pm
HEN PARTIES:
Make your Hen’s party a creative experience and make your own jewellery! Look and feel like a princess on your wedding day! Gather some friends together and attend a 1 day or weekend workshop creating wedding day accessories.
- Tiara construction
- Strung or wirework, necklace, earrings and bracelet sets, using Sterling silver chain and wire, crystals, fresh water pearls, charms or semi precious stones
CLASSES & COMMISSIONS
PMC 3 – Fine Silver Clay
- CHARMS & MOULDS: Learn how to make a mould and cast your own charms and earrings
- ETERNAL GIFTS: Turn real leaves from your bridal or anniversary bouquet into 99.9% pure silver jewellery to make a lasting memento of a special occasion
- RECYCLED GIFTS: Recycle the glass from a special occasion champagne or wine bottle to make stunning jewellery– combining fine silver clay and recycled glass
- CHRISTENINGS & BIRTHS: Finger print jewellery. Capture the finger print of a small child in fine silver – charms and pendants for speciality gifts
BEGINNERS
- Design and make your own clasps to add a designer touch to your jewellery
- Experiment in a mix medium class using polymer and fine silver clay
- Learn how to set dichroic glass into fine silver clay settings
WIREWORK CLASSES
- FINDINGS – make your own clasps, head pins and links
- LINKING – New to jewellery making? Learn how to string and link beads and crystals to make your own accessories
- WIRE WEAVING – Learn this speciality weave to encase a semi- precious stone and make ornate, bespoke pendants using wire, pearls, charms and crystals
PAPER CRAFT CLASSES
- WASHI: Washi is the Japanese word for paper. Washi painting is an ancient art creating beautiful images using handmade papers. In this class you will learn to make a floral collage suitable for a handmade gift card or note book cover
- POP-UP CARDS: Learn the art of fractional cutting to create pop-up cards and mini pop-up scrapbooks. A creative and inspiring collection of techniques and ideas. All designs are easy to follow with projects suitable for a beginner to more advanced paper crafters.
SEWING CLASSES
- Join our evening sewing group. Bring your machine and project. Be inspired by fellow sewing enthusiasts. Joan is available to assist with garment fitting, decorative or finishing techniques including, freestyle embroidery
